Traditional Bread Making Class
Our original and most popular Baking Class, now running for 15 years! This introductory Bread Making Class will teach you the fundamentals of the craft and science of bread making, to take you from a novice to pro in no time.
During the class, you will learn the two main methods of bread making – bulk fermentation and pre fermentation, along with the science behind each method. All bakes will be made by hand using minimal equipment.
- Bulk fermentation is the most popular method of bread making, and from this you will learn to make a Wholemeal loaf, and our World Bread Award winning Traditional Old School English Split Tin loaf.
- From a pre fermented dough, you will make an Oven Bottom Bloomer and Plaited loaf.
- We close the class with an Introduction to Sourdough Baking, which will take your bread making knowledge to a more advanced level.
Evening class includes refreshments, a delicious dinner, and a Cinnamon Square bun. Attendees will take home all items they have made and a recipe pack.
